Database Administrator
**Database Administrator – £35,000-£40,000 – Hybrid/Preston**
Our established client is looking for an experienced Database Administrator who specializes in SQL server admin.
In this role you will be considered the SME for all things database operations and management. You will be responsible for ensuring the database systems are reliable. You will need proven SQL server expertise and be able to work independently on live production issues and expected to work in a proactive manner to help maintain stable systems to achieve great business outcomes.
This key role will sit in part of the DBA team, there is room for growth with training opportunities within the team, to help keep you on track and at your best and this will be greatly encouraged to undertake as they come along. The main aspects of this role will be datacentre migrations, Azure integrations, scalable solutions, OnPrem patching and maintenance and enhancing performance. This will be primarily MS SQL Enterprise solutions, All SQL versions.
To be successful in this position, you will have prior experience streamlining maintenance processes, enhancing documentation, seeing a task right to the end, experience with code analysis, performance tuning and production releases. You will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, technical troubleshooting skills for software, hardware and network communications. Experience working with Azure integrations and best practices. RDBMS is also beneficial. There are team members across continents so you will need excellent communication. You will also need to be willing to be part of the on-call team for 24/7 support.
