Cplex Developer

Cplex Developer – Permanent – Remote working – £55,000-£75,000

We are seeking an experienced CPLEX Developer who has expertise in scheduling optimization, Java, and SQL. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mathematics and be comfortable working with complex constraint programming. Experience with Xpress or Gurobi is also acceptable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimise scheduling solutions using CPLEX or alternative optimization tools like Xpress or Gurobi.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain optimisation models and algorithms.
• Write and maintain high-quality code in Java and SQL to support optimisation processes.
• Analyse and understand complex mathematical problems and translate them into effective computational solutions.
• Continuously improve and refine optimisation models to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to optimization and scheduling.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in optimisation techniques and tools.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in developing and optimising scheduling solutions using CPLEX, Xpress, or Gurobi.
• Strong proficiency in Java and SQL.
• Solid mathematics background, with a focus on optimisation and constraint programming.
• Ability to understand and implement complex mathematical models.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related field.
