IT Infrastructure Project Manager – Swindon/Wiltshire – Onsite – 3 months

We’re recruiting for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead an office consolidation project for a client based in Swindon. This is a hands‑on delivery role suited to someone who thrives in fast‑moving environments and can confidently manage technical workstreams end‑to‑end.

The Project

You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering the migration, consolidation, and optimisation of infrastructure services as part of a wider office footprint reduction. The work will involve coordinating internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of the office consolidation programme from initiation to completion
• Manage infrastructure‑focused workstreams, timelines, risks, and dependencies
• Coordinate with technical teams covering networking, cloud, and security
• Oversee the decommissioning, relocation, and deployment of infrastructure assets
• Ensure all changes follow governance, compliance, and security standards
• Provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders and project boards

Technical Environment

Experience with the following is highly desirable:

• AWS
• Fortinet (firewalls, SD‑WAN, security appliances)
• General infrastructure, networking, and datacentre technologies
• Office moves, consolidations, or large‑scale infrastructure transitions

About You

• Proven track record delivering infrastructure or technical transformation projects
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Comfortable working onsite and collaborating closely with engineering teams
• Able to hit the ground running in a contract environment

Contract Details

• Initial 3‑month contract with potential extension
• Onsite in Swindon
• Competitive day rate via agency
