IT Support Engineer – £30,000 to £40,000 – onsite – Porthmadog
Porthmadog/Gwynedd client is looking to add an IT Support Engineer to their team. The role will focus on providing IT operations support.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Engineer. Ideal candidates will have a passion for technology and a strong desire to provide excellent support to end-users. The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, deploying and maintaining hardware and software systems, and ensuring the overall stability and security of our IT infrastructure and network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, and in-person
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
- Set up and manage user accounts and permissions
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as updates and patches
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement solutions and improvements
- Document support activities and maintain knowledge base articles
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar IT support engineer role
- Cisco (CCNA is a big plus)
- Wireless technologies
- Meraki (SD-WAN and WIFI)
- Office 365 suite
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, Azure AD
- Exposure to Intune is a plus.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
