Technical Project Manager – hybrid working – £40,000-£50,000

 

Our client are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with a background in the Managed Service Provider (MSP) industry to join their team. You will be responsible for delivering technical projects, working closely with engineers, vendors, and non-technical stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the bridge between technical engineers and non-technical business stakeholders, translating requirements effectively.
• Technical Understanding: Work closely with engineers to scope, plan, and implement infrastructure, cloud, and IT projects.
• Process Improvement: Implement best practices for project management and service delivery within an MSP environment.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks early and proactively manage project roadblocks.
• Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams to align project goals with business objectives.

 

Key Skills & Experience:

✅ Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager within an MSP or IT services environment.
✅ Familiarity with IT infrastructure, cloud services, networking, cybersecurity, or similar technical domains.
✅ Ability to work with technical engineers while effectively communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
✅ Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks, Agile, and Waterfall project management methodologies.
✅ Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
✅ Strong problem-solving, organisation, and leadership skills.

 

Desirable Skills:

• Project management certifications (e.g., Prince2, PMP, Agile PM, Scrum Master).
• Experience in IT migrations, cloud transformation, or security projects.
• Understanding of MSP ticketing and service management tools.
