SQL Support Analyst – £35,000-£45,000 – Hybrid/Swindon, Wilshire

Our client is looking to add to their current IT Infrastructure team with the recruitment of an Infrastructure Engineer with a bias towards SQL Support.

You will be expected to come in with a reasonable understanding of networking, switches, routers and firewalls albeit this will not be something you will need to apply on a day-to-day basis so this really does need to a be rudimentary level or even being experienced in these but wanting to explore other areas of your skillset, such as the SQL aspect.

The primary expectation will be around SQL and your understanding around scripting, clustering, mirroring, backup and restore, permissions and de-bugging. The opportunity will be a key role within the wider Infrastructure team and they will allow you to a great level of autonomy rather than be micro-managed. There will also be some ticket-handling support work, but these will be mainly focussed around SQL issues that the ServiceDesk were unable to handle.

This position is working in their Swindon Head Office 2 days per week with home based work the remainder of the time.
